Client:

Ipso Gallery at Fresh Produce is a unique art space that showcases artists it has a sincere appreciation for and thinks it can learn from. Ipso explores the ideas behind the art and the creative processes involved in making it, not just the results alone, as it pursues exhibitions of interest for fun or challenge.

Objective:

Create a visual identity and show promotion for the Ipso Show, Good Form.

Solution:

Dedicated spaces and handcrafted relics elevate sports in our culture. But considered in their purest forms, they’re simply vessels for imagination. Good Form features works from Eli Show and Paul Dressen that explore our relationship to sports through observation, craftsmanship, and a childlike love of play.

 

The show includes posters, postcards, artist and guest buttons, and social media promotions. The art direction draws inspiration from my childhood when my brother and I would create our jerseys using old t-shirts and masking tape to write our names and numbers. Each letter in "Good Form" reflects that same creative sensibility.
